Teradata — Core contributor, QueryGrid
  • Built the next-generation Apache Arrow Flight transport — a columnar, gRPC-based pipeline streaming query results between Teradata and remote systems; owned most of the Java Flight-SQL driver (producer, session and transaction management, JDBC connection pooling, type mapping).
  • Built a natural-language-to-SQL service on AWS Lambda and Amazon Bedrock that generates validated, federated Teradata SQL, using RAG and an EXPLAIN-based validation gate to make LLM output safe to run in production; added a Text-to-SQL benchmark harness to measure accuracy.
  • Contributed to cross-cloud deployment automation provisioning QueryGrid on managed cloud sites via containerized workloads (Cloud Run on GCP, Azure container instances) — deploy, upgrade, and hibernate/resume lifecycle operations across all three cloud adapters.
  • Owned end-to-end incident response on enterprise deployments spanning hundreds of nodes, resolving performance bottlenecks and connector failures before customer escalation.

  • Designed a multi-cloud snapshot and restore service using AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudFormation, and DynamoDB.
  • Built a ServiceNow customer onboarding automation platform using Scripted REST APIs and workflows.
  • Owned CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins with Datadog monitoring, alerting, and observability dashboards.

Most weekends I'm at the beach with my golden retriever, or out in the garden.

The garden happened almost by accident — a couple of houseplants during the pandemic that turned into building two gardens from scratch: one at our old house, and now a new one from the ground up at our current place.
